North Parish Church

North Andover, Massachusetts

Built in 1836, the Gothic Revival North Parish Church is a simple rectangular block with a ninety foot spire and engaged tower at the west elevation. North Parish Church rests atop a rise overlooking North Andover Common and is a significant presence in the historic town center. Our firm was engaged to respond to two projects at the church, the exterior restoration and design of an addition to meet the needs of a dynamically growing congregation.

Construction is currently underway for the exterior restoration that includes woodwork repair, regilding the weathervane and clock numerals, reglazing windows and painting the church. Also, missing historic elements such as the decorative balustrade at the west elevation eave line will be reinstalled. Work is partly funded by the Community Preservation Act administered by the town of North Andover.
