Temple Shalom of Newton

Newton, Massachusetts

Prior to 1998/1999 renovations, Temple Shalom’s 1955 facility had been maintained without significant alterations and the temple has grown to over 1,000 families with one of the largest schools in the Greater Boston area. A master plan was developed by our firm and approved by the board of directors in 1996. The subsequent addition and renovations upgraded the entire facility with an emphasis on universal access, expansion of classrooms, a new chapel, additional multi-purpose areas, expansion of offices, refurbishment of the sanctuary and social hall and a functional daily entrance for the offices and school. The project was completed in 1999.

Shown below, is the new daily entrance leading to accessible circulation routes to the multipurpose rooms, school and offices.
