Residence

This Shingle Style summer home was designed to make the best use of a narrow site at the edge of a bluff overlooking Cape Cod Bay.  The three-story house is one room wide, providing generous amounts of light and fresh air, as well as spectacular views.  Wrapped in traditional Cape Cod white cedar siding and white painted trim, the elements are assembled in an informal manner under an all-encompassing red cedar shingle roof.

A bowed staircase shaft brings sunlight into the interior circulation spine.  The ground level houses a study, living room, dining room, kitchen, and two-car garage.  The upper floors contain bedrooms and a sewing room.
