Menders, Torrey & Spencer has participated in numerous phases of preservation and rehabilitation of Boston’s last intact early twentieth century synagogue. Exterior preservation, structural stabilization, window restoration, masonry repairs and repointing, and master planning have all been completed.
Our firm assisted the Center with successful grant applications to the Massachusetts Historical Commission for Massachusetts Preservation Projects Fund grants, resulting in $375,000 in funding. We are currently working on a thorough interior restoration, including universal access, a daily visitor’s entrance, conference and exhibit rooms, and all-new infrastructure.
