Recently named the Number One Community Bank in greater Boston, Brookline Bank celebrated the opening of its 19th and 20th branches in the Greater Boston area with MTS-designed facilities in Burlington and Wellesley. Our designs express the bank’s brand image as a growing enterprise and welcoming community resource.
Menders, Torrey & Spencer, Inc. has now designed new spaces and renovations for seven branches of this growing retail banking institution. Architectural services have included program development, design and execution of interior tenant fit-outs, storefronts and exteriors. Universal access has been a special focus, illustrated in the new entry at the fully renovated West Medford branch. We have also designed new branches in tenant fit-out spaces in Malden and Burlington as well as two renovations of existing neighborhood banks in Brookline where construction was staged to allow the branches to remain open during renovations. The renovated spaces invite the customer into the bank lobby while providing functional, efficient and secure back-of-house work environments for the employees. Each branch receives a unique design that makes best use of the site’s opportunities and constraints by using creative layouts, lighting and interior finish concepts to maximize visibility and accessibility.
