Brewster Residence
Located off the Old King’s Highway on Cape Cod, this vacation home overlooks the tidal flats of Cape Cod Bay. While its modest exterior retains an understated simplicity, this shingled cottage has been transformed on the interior with a complete rehabilitation. The living room, den, dining room and kitchen on the upper level are unified by a shallow vaulted ceiling and lit by abundant windows. The casual ambiance of life on the beach is expressed through the use of materials which recall the ubiquitous Cape Cod sand: light colored honed marble tiles, a pine beaded ceiling, maple wood cabinetry and light colored fabrics.
